G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels.Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods as we move to our new facility in Hanover, PA.
The Production Supervisor position involves overseeing the production staff and equipment on the production line. The supervisor ensures that production goals and quality standards are met while implementing company policies. Initially, training will be conducted during day shifts, with a permanent transition to night shifts thereafter.Responsibilities:
Assess priorities, plan, direct and coordinate, through subordinates, the activities of production line from the processing to the packaging departments
Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production (standard labor and output set up in the system) and quality of products meets specifications
Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems on the production line to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
Initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures
Ensure adherence to strict food safety and compliance standards, implementing rigorous protocols and procedures to maintain the highest level of quality, safety, and food safety in all job functions.
Qualifications:
2+ years of supervision experience required
Experience in food manufacturing required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis.
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers.
Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
