    Responsibilities:

    Provide professional clinical services for patients following established practice standards and clinical protocols.

    • Room patients and obtain vital signs.
    • Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
    • May perform specimen collection, phlebotomy and specimen analysis.
    • Medication and/or vaccine administration.
    • Care Coordination via medication refills, prior authorizations and referral scheduling.
    • Test result management and tracking as determined by provider.
    • Return patient calls and inquiries via phone or patient portal.
    Qualifications:

    Aside from building relationships, exceeding patient expectations and having fun while you work, the following apply:

    • Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
    • High school diploma.
    • BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
    • Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
    • A positive and team-oriented attitude.
    • Ability to assist providers in professional manner.
