    Essential Job Functions:

    • Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility for public assistance programs.
    • Enter information into a computer-based eligibility system.
    • Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determination.
    • Process work in accordance with regulations and established procedures.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    Knowledge Skills Abilities:

    • Use fact-finding techniques to obtain information.
    • Read, understand, and apply detailed regulations and policies.
    • Perform basic arithmetic functions.
    • Manage time efficiently.
    • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Operate computers for data entry and office software use.
    • Follow directions and instructions.

    Initial Selection Criteria:

    Experience: One year of customer service experience, preferred in interviewing clients.

    Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, college hours preferred.

    Additional Information:

    Candidates may not have a history of fraudulent activity. Non-fraud overpayments require repayment.
    This position is located in Kerrville, Texas.
