    BC Physician and Program Director - Family Medicine Residency

    Franklin Memorial / Franklin Community Health Network, Farmington, ME

    Franklin Community Health Group, a department of Franklin Memorial Hospital, is looking for a full-time BC Family Medicine Physician and Family Medicine Residency Program Director to provide care at Franklin Family Practice in Farmington/Livermore Falls, Maine.

    This non-OB, Outpatient Family Medicine Practice at Franklin Memorial Hospital campus offers physical exams, women's health exams, sick visits, well-child visits, school and sports physicals, and management of chronic health conditions. On-site, there are blood work and lab services available, with inpatient care at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The practice features a licensed clinical social worker to address behavioral health needs, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care. Join a team of providers including three family medicine physicians, two physician assistants, and a care support nurse specializing in chronic disease education, all supported by exceptional staff. Call responsibilities involve phone availability approximately 1:8 with no inpatient or nursing facility rounding expectations.

    This role involves serving as core faculty for Tufts University Medical School with students assigned to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Joining hands with leaders in graduate medical education, the physician will be instrumental in creating curriculum for family medicine residents and laying the groundwork for a future Family Medicine Residency at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Eligible candidates can apply for the MaineHealth Institute for Teaching Excellence (MITE) scholars program to enhance teaching skills.     Qualifications:

    • MD/DO from an accredited medical school
    • Minimum three years of clinical experience post-residency in Family Medicine
    • Experience in Medical Education and/or scholarly activities
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities such as adaptability, flexibility, and open-mindedness
    • Passion for medical education leadership and teaching
