Overview
Forshaw of St. Louis has entered the window business and is looking to make a foundational hire— someone who won't just fill a role, but help build what the role becomes. This person will set the installation standards and shape the processes that future team members follow. You'll work directly with ownership to create a department known for craftsmanship, professionalism, and consistency. We're looking for a proven installer ready to step into leadership and take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. The right candidate will grow with the company as the team expands to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise window and door installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines
- Install windows, doors, and assemblies in the new construction process
- Perform window and door replacements in a finished home; including removing existing windows, replacing with new windows, and re-trimming
- Perform previews to measure for installations and to address any logistical challenges
- Perform heavy lifting safely while managing window and door materials
- Interact with customers as required in a professional manner
- Work with ownership to develop this new window department
Requirements
- Proven experience in window and door installation and replacement installation, trim carpentry
- Strong knowledge of windows, doors, trim carpentry, window and door service, construction processes, and especially construction site safety protocols
- Familiarity with window projects including window service and setup
- Ability to lead a crew on a jobsite
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately
- Physical strength for heavy lifting; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces
