    Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation Team (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud.

    CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals and live and online services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability.

    As a Construction Project Manager at Microsoft, you will be responsible for managing daily aspects of site construction, such as data center construction, facilities upgrades, Offsite and Substation construction, and/or wireless telecommunications systems.

    You will oversee all construction priorities including safety (e.g., leading and driving a safety culture), compliance, quality, schedule, and cost.

    The Construction Project Manager, may also be responsible for issuing work orders, preparing management reports, and preparing quotes and cost estimates, and developing and maintaining safety programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Contributes to datacenter construction/integration activities on local/campus projects (e.g., new or retrofit data center facilities) and provides findings and learns to provide recommendations on all datacenter fit-out related activities and ensures sound and data-driven decisions, with guidance from a manager and/or experienced peers
    • Provides feedback to engineering documentation/designs, site, and building plans by examining and analyzing technical information.
    • Supports the Internal Cloud Operations Innovation (COI), and other Microsoft key stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Software Engineering [CSE], Real Estate & Facilities [RE&F], etc.) and reviews and shares updated process flow information with guidance from a manager and/or project team peers to ensure new processes are being followed that increase cost savings and improve overall cycle-time and efficiencies.
    • Follows guidance from others to complete local projects (e.g., new construction, infrastructure improvements) by organizing information to help others make timely data-based decisions in partnership with the local project team and stakeholders.
    • Assists with the organization of specific project data supporting cost and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, invoices, processes, and policies in order to communicate the status to the project team. Assists with the reporting on project
    • Participates in internal teams to maintain the corporate vision and goals for the project with guidance from a manager and/or project team.
    • Follows guidelines to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration [OSHA], or equivalent) to ensure compliance. Conducts routine safety program, project, and contractor audits with direction from a manager or senior colleagues.

    Required Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
    • 3 months of related experience.
    Construction Project Management IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $64,800 - $115,600 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $86,400 - $129,600 per year.
