    Location:Lakewood, New York
    Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer II, where you will spearhead process improvements, implement product development (PD) strategies, and utilize Visual Business Systems (VBS) tools to drive long-term sustainable enhancements in operations. You will play a critical role in impacting our core operations metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

    As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will be the driving force behind enhancing production operations using advanced Lean manufacturing techniques and Visual Business Systems (VBS) tools. This role is crucial in ensuring successful delivery and continuous improvement of our web portals with rich user interfaces.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead project initiatives to enhance production operations using proven Lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, SMED, Standard Work, and Variation Reduction.
    • Facilitate new product introductions, focusing on design for manufacturability, efficient layout planning, and setting up production cells.
    • Collaborate with production teams and management to meet daily operational goals and advance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities, conduct detailed analyses, and implement strategies to reduce costs effectively.
    • Engage in troubleshooting, perform failure analysis, and lead root cause investigations to ensure timely corrective actions.
    • Develop and optimize programming for key manufacturing equipment, including CNC, robotic welders, turrets, and press brakes.
    • Champion Visual Business Systems (VBS) and lead Lean initiatives across the plant to promote long-term sustainable enhancements.

    First Six Months Deliverables:

    • Fully immerse into our processes and cultural environment.
    • Successfully execute a Kaizen event and actively participate in Problem-Solving Processes (PSP).


    Requirements

    Who You Are:

    • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are beneficial.
    • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a background in sheet metal design/manufacturing. Familiarity with manufacturing automation is a plus.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office and CAD tools like SolidWorks; experience in CNC programming and robotic welding.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, negotiation, and communication skills. Known for your tenacity, honesty, and integrity.
    • Personal Attributes: A strategic thinker with a strong sense of urgency, proven ability to manage multiple priorities, and focused on results. Leadership and teamwork are your strengths.
