    Description

    Role: Electrical Design Engineer (Automotive)

    Location: Manasquan, NJ

    Term: Full-time

    Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

    About the Company: Our client is a leading provider of bespoke Automotive equipment located near Manasquan, NJ, and are seeking a dedicated Electrical Design Engineer to join their small team and contribute to ongoing product development.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design of wiring harnesses using SolidWorks Electrical.
    • Collaborate with the design team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
    • Plan and modify electrical configurations to meet customer needs.
    • Produce job electrical designs using appropriate software based on sales submissions.
    • Review chassis proposals to ensure electrical capability.
    • Layout and design schematics and orthographic views using CAD software.
    • Integrate HVAC automotive systems into vehicles.
    • Oversee multiplex programming to support electrical interfaces.
    • Analyze electrical design requirements and recommend solutions.
    • Coordinate with other staff to resolve design problems.
    • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, and drawings.
    • Modify designs to correct deficiencies or reduce production problems.
    • Define and release complete job electrical bill of material.
    • Ensure all necessary electrical documentation is complete for successful transfer to manufacturing.
    • Work on design projects to reduce product costs and improve efficiency.
    • Adhere to all deadlines to support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical or 3D electrical design software.
    • Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D CAD software.
    • Familiarity with EPDM, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Understanding of automotive electrical design concepts.
    • Ability to analyze complex circuits.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
