A Chemical Manufacturing Company in the Automotive industry is currently seeking a motivated Production Manager to support their team in the Fort Meade, MD area. The ideal candidate will have 2~3 years' experience with leadership, a manufacturing background, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is full time, direct hire position with great benefit package.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet sales demands and optimize resource utilization.
• Set production targets and monitor progress regularly, ensuring timely completion of batches.
• Provide leadership and guidance to production staff.
• Build and maintain a professional relationship with team members for effective communication.
• Follow the safety standards (such as OSHA) for optimal operations for the facility.
• Analyze production data to identify issues and inefficiencies, implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies.
• Examine processes and design plans to effectively use available resources.
• Coordinate with the leadership team to align production goals with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Production Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in production management or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening), leadership and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems and production software
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
• Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently.
• Japanese Language skill is a big asset but not mandatory.

This position is in a manufacturing / office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, lift in excess of 35 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
