- Diagnose problems when machinery malfunctions, conduct electrical repairs (i.e., wiring), complete work orders, monitor production equipment.
- Maintain all the Process Control systems, calibrate all critical control equipment and documents finding, evaluate PLC, HMI, Servo and Data Systems, program, and integrate the systems. Program and integrate the Automation systems.
- Set up and implement preventive maintenance procedure for process control systems (PLC, identify areas to be improved in the process systems makes recommendations and implement approved changes)
- Backup SCADA, wastewater, PLC, and variable frequency drive systems. Order parts.
- Train Maintenance personnel. Complete calibration, project, and equipment status reports
- Work closely with the contractors on new electrical and electronic installations.
- Provide technical expertise on project teams.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures
- Certification, Related Degree or Equivalent Work Experience Desired
- Technical Courses in position-related Discipline Preferred
- Must challenge and pass a Mechanical Aptitude Assessment (Ramsay Exam)
- Minimum 5 years' experience with industrial electrical.
- Minimum years of experience with industrial PLC.
- Ability to communicate and comprehend specifics regarding equipment problems.
- Computer skills for ordering parts and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend equipment manuals, safety regulations, and operating instructions.
- Ability to complete necessary reports.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to climb, bend, reach and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).
- Body agility (occasional climbing, kneeling, reaching).
- Walking and standing on plant production floor for extended periods of time.
