    Position Summary
    This position serves families and reports directly to the Cemetery Manager(s). Candidate will perform a variety of cemetery administrative tasks and activities, as assigned. On a limited basis, direct the secretary and field personnel as necessary in the performance of assigned tasks. In the absence of the manager, may be authorized to manage the cemetery on the manager's behalf.

    Full-time, non-exempt position. Five-day work week hours are Monday-Saturday within a 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM schedule. Rotating Saturdays. Overtime pay. Second Career candidates welcome.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assisting families in office and outside on cemetery grounds in selection of burial rights (plots, crypts/niches) and memorialization
    • Overseeing sales process with timely and accurate documentation and recordkeeping
    • Directing daily funeral activities
    • Performing office administrative and field operation functions as assigned by the cemetery manager
    • Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

    Qualifications
    A successful candidate for this position should possess a compassionate manner and a commitment to assisting the families we serve. Must be able to maintain strong attention to detail, manage multiple tasks at once and high levels of organization. The candidate must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills, in addition to:

    • Cemetery experience preferred but not necessary
    • High School or G.E.D. diploma, as well as valid driver's license required
    • Ability to serve on site at burial services in varying weather conditions, including ability to assist as pallbearer if needed.
    • Proficiency in operating basic office machinery
    • Knowledge of, or ability to learn and support, the tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
