    Major Duties

    What to Expect
    • Organizes and coordinates various catering/special events such as membership affairs, command functions, cultural events, balls, etc.
    • Receives schedules of banquet or arrangements of related activities on a weekly and/or daily basis.
    • Reviews the scheduled functions to ascertain that required preparations are made, to include proper staffing, room arrangements, supplies and equipment.
    • Responsible for the thematic decoration of rooms when not arranged by the client.
    • Understands and follows catering procedures, ensuring timely communication is maintained and pertinent information is dispensed.
    • Ensures that all work areas of the catering department are organized, well maintained and that all equipment and supplies are clean and stored in their proper places.
    • This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Qualifications

    What are we looking for?
    • Two years' experience that demonstrates knowledge of standardized club or food facility operational practices and procedures, pricing and ability to coordinate with all facets of club operations.
    • Knowledge and understanding of catering practices.
    • Skills necessary to assist customers in planning party functions.
    • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate functions to provide the best in quality service to patrons, with a personal dedication to complete customer satisfaction.
    • Ability to carry out responsibilities in an independent manner, working under pressure with limited supervision.
    • Ability to prepare reports and complete simple contractual arrangements.
    • Skill to deal courteously and effectively with customers, employees and management.
