    The Workers Compensation Specialist ensures all work-related injuries adhere to company policy and serves as a liaison between injured workers and our insurance company.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of company policy, corporate and field operations, and interdepartmental responsibilities.
    • Facilitate communication between injured employees and insurance adjusters.
    • Possess knowledge of workers' compensation cases, DWC-25, and assist with appointment scheduling.
    • Communicate professionally and effectively with team members, employees, and insurance adjusters regarding work-related injuries.
    • Input and maintain records, files, and databases of claims and employee safety trainings, and prepare summary reports of collected data as needed.
    • Ensure injury/accident folders are current, replenishing with new forms after each accident, ordering safety materials in a timely manner, and coordinating any changes with HR Director and Safety Team.
    • Adhere to OSHA requirements.
    • Assist with employee training, development, and relations as necessary.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant workers' compensation laws, procedures, and regulations.
    • Ability to gather facts to ensure claims information is complete and accurate.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of two years of related experience with work-related injuries.
