Applications may be obtained at the Municipal Building, Township Secretary's Office, 555 Broadway Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA 15136, between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm., Monday thru Friday in person or (download application).

Application Fee in the amount of $40.00 (nonrefundable), payable to Stowe Township is due at the time completed application is submitted.

Deadline for submitting a completed application, (in person only, with driver's license and Act 120 ID), shall be 4:00 pm on Friday, May 10th , 2024.

Full benefit package, to include healthcare, dental and vision, $850 per year uniform allowance, $900 every 5 years towards ballistics vest, 4 personal days per year, 1 week paid vacation after completion first year of service, vacation increments as service extends, shift differential, longevity pay after 7 years, paid time off, holiday pay, overtime, court time and comp time accrual.

Certified Act 120 PA (MPOETC), or shall have successfully completed Act 120 training and successfully passed the final exam, thus being eligible for the Act 120 Certification once offered a position by the Township (submit copy), US Citizen and age 21 by the deadline date above , High School Diploma or GED, Valid drivers license, (PA license prior to appointment), reside within a radius of (15) air miles of the Municipal Building within (1) year of employment offer, Physically and Mentally fit to perform the duties as a police officer and valid honorable discharge copy of DD-214 if claiming Veteran's preference.
