    This job opportunity is available at the BLM Bakersfield Field Office in Bakersfield, CA and the BLM Palm Springs Field Office in Palm Springs, CA.

    This job is open to:

    Duties

    • Manage administrative tasks in the Field Office.
    • Handle public inquiries and provide information on office programs.
    • Handle billing and collections for various purposes.
    • Procure supplies, materials, and services.
    • Ensure accuracy in time and attendance records.
    • Assist with budget planning and implementation.
    • Manage office charge cards and supervise their use.
    • Coordinate with HR on personnel matters.
    • Utilize database systems for personnel actions.
    • Set work schedules and priorities.
    • Resolve HR conflicts and provide necessary resources for the team.
    • Maintain record-keeping systems for reporting and evaluation.

    Requirements

    • U.S. Citizenship required.
    • Ensure to meet 'Conditions of Employment,' 'Qualifications,' and 'How to Apply' criteria.
    • Limitations on real estate licenses and stock holdings related to Federal Lands.
    • Completion of supervisory probationary period if required.
    • Possession and maintenance of a valid state driver's license.

    Qualifications

    Meet the qualifications for the GS-11 grade level through a combination of experience, education, or a combination of both.

    Experience should demonstrate abilities in administrative coordination, personnel management, budget planning, and office operations.

    Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, Master's degree, or a combination of education and experience.
