    As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll lead the charge, directly engaging with customers and guiding a team of skilled engineers. From understanding complex requirements to implementing, testing, and commissioning automation solutions, your expertise will be at the forefront.

    Responsibilities

    **Deliver Innovative Automation Solutions:** Ability to devise and implement cutting-edge automation solutions either autonomously or as a team leader.
    - **Control System Design and Implementation:** Conceptualize, detail, and execute control systems for industrial processes and machinery to meet client requirements. Tasks include:
    - Developing control system architecture.
    - Selecting components.
    - Detailing schematic diagrams and system documentation.
    - Programming controllers (PLC, DCS/Delta V).
    - Programming process visualization (HMI/SCADA).
    - Developing databases for archiving and displaying historical system data.
    - Implementing and commissioning control systems at client facilities.
    - Proficiency in controller programming languages such as Ladder, Sequential Function Chart, and Structured Text.
    - Knowledge of standard programming languages like VBA, .NET, SQL, and Python for HMI/SCADA system development preferred.

    **Industrial Networking Experience:** Preferred experience in designing, detailing, and implementing various fiber, wired, and wireless systems using industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.) for larger systems.

    **Project Management Responsibilities:** Often entails:
    - Developing project execution plans and work breakdown structures.
    - Creating associated budgets.
    - Prioritizing and scheduling tasks.
    - Ordering materials.
    - Tracking time and reporting.
    - Managing finances.
    - Identifying and resolving conflicts.
    - Leading and supporting a team.
    - Attending project status meetings.
    - Overseeing daily operations and activities of projects up to $10M.
    - Ensuring overall project profitability.

    **Diverse Engineering Skillset:** Ideal candidate possesses a broad engineering skillset and can work independently. Responsibilities may include:
    - Acting as a technical lead on projects.
    - Mentoring lower-level engineers and technicians.
    - Potentially serving as a Project Manager on smaller projects.

    Qualifications

    **Education:**
    - Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

    **Experience:**
    - Greater than 8 years of experience preferred, with capabilities in the following areas:
    - In-depth understanding of Emerson DeltaV platform.
    - Experience in PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions.
    - In-depth understanding of PLC hardware/software platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Modicon.
    - In-depth understanding of HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms, including:
    - Servers and VMs.
    - Networks.
    - Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk and Plant Pax.
    - Aveva System Platform and Edge.
    - Inductive Automation Ignition.
    - GE iFIX.
    - Siemens Winn CC and TI Portal.
    - Understanding of DCS hardware/software platforms such as Emerson DeltaV or similar.
    - Project Management experience with a PMP certification considered a plus.
    - Understanding of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.
    - Experience in industries such as Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, and general manufacturing.
    - Experience in the design of electrical schematics and control panels, including power distribution under 480VAC, and associated NEC references desired.
    - Experience with AutoCAD also desired.
    - Experience leading a team of engineers/technicians to provide control system solutions.
    - Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
    - Professional references preferred, ideally one from each of the following: a subordinate, a peer, and a manager.

    Travel

    Ability to travel up to 25% – mostly local to Dallas.

    Seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, ability to mount/dismount equipment, pushing and pulling.

    Work Environment

    Standard office environment, on-site office environment, diverse industrial environments, frequent use of a personal computer, facsimile/copy machines, and phones.
