    **Description**

    We are actively seeking a full-time **Registered Dietician**. This position reviews food plans, provides instruction and support for staff that prepare and serve meals to residents who require specialized nutritional intervention. Work as part of the interdisciplinary clinical team providing resident care. May have responsibilities related to the purchase of the food.     **ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:**

    Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities.

    1. Write, review and implement nutritional care plans for the Health Center residents.

    2. Collaborate with other health care providers to identify and connect with residents in need of nutritional counseling.

    3. Establish treatment plans and communicate with residents regarding program compliance.

    4. Responsible for menu planning for the Health Center residents.

    5. Participates in quality improvement of the program in conjunction with other services offered.

    6. Meets directly with patients/residents to identify educational needs; provide individual instruction, utilize informational handouts/booklets, or refer to community resources as needed.

    7. Provide and input weekly & monthly Health Center residents weight loss information.

    8. Performs research and recommends ways to expand and improve nutrition programs.

    9. Develops and managers resident charts and nutrition programs.

    **ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:**

    Education

    B.A. in Food and Nutrition, Food Services Management or related field. Licensure as a Certified Registered Dietitian. ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

    Experience:

    Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office. Proficiency with data-base types of menu systems for menu

    forecasting, menu building and recipe creation. Supervisory Leadership.

    Requirements:

    Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
