    Description
    Position Overview RMGS, Inc
    is currently recruiting a Designer in Virginia Beach, VA; Washington, DC; Indian Head, MD, in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), McAlester Detachment
    **This position is contingent upon contract award


    • Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Performs research to inform design decisions.
    • Works with hardware and software engineers to create concepts, refine concepts, and create prototypes of hardware and software, as well as testing designs and products with users.
    • Provides sketches, renderings, prototypes, documents, graphics, and experiences.
    • Demonstrated experience in design history, detailed knowledge of the history of design and type of design for industry.
    • Ability to conceptualize and develop designs for a variety of problems and challenges posed by project leads

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • BA, BS or BFA degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial Design.
    • A minimum of two (2) years of experience leading projects and teams of industrial designers to create designs and generate sketches, rendering, and prototypes.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and mastery of software required adaptive manufacturing.
    • Secret security clearance or the ability to qualify for such clearance upon employment.
