- Enter data into computer systems using defined programs.
- Investigate questionable data.
- Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Compile data and prepare various reports.
- Develop an understanding of policies and remittance reports.
- Verify the correct agency is reflected.
- Determine the accuracy of premiums and agents authorized in the state.
- Balance from batch cover sheets.
- Receive checks from agent offices, separated by region, agent, and state.
- Match checks with policies and verify accuracy.
- Manually calculate premiums.
- Process checks in OTIS by premium type.
- Manually reconcile posted checks to balance.
- Print deposit reports and batch cover sheets for future processing.
- Deliver checks to personnel for scanning and reconciliation.
- Process policies by verifying state and Westcor codes.
- Notify team leads or managers of discrepancies.
- Notify Accounting managers of high-liability policies (i.e., < 20 million).
- Perform other support duties as needed.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional problem-solving, attention to detail, project management, follow-through, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Passion for providing exceptional service, both internally and externally, in-person, via phone, and in writing.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Able to adapt to change, take initiative, manage time effectively, and cope with stressful situations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-6 years' experience in clerical accounting, preferably in accounts receivable.
- Knowledge of Accounting software.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.

The position of an Accounts Receivable Data Entry Clerk involves performing various tasks in the Accounting Department to meet and exceed service expectations.
This role requires a daily commute to our Main Headquarters located in Maitland, FL.
