Who We Are

Aurora seeks talented individuals with diverse backgrounds to help build a transportation ecosystem that prioritizes road safety, efficient delivery of goods, and accessible mobility for all.

In this role, you will

Safely operate and monitor autonomous semi-trucks and other vehicles during on-road and closed-course testing in support of development and commercial pilot operations.
Remain vigilant while monitoring the Aurora Driver during extended periods of autonomy.
Provide real-time feedback on autonomy and platform performance during testing, which will be delivered to engineers.
Escalate operational issues with suggested solutions.
Contribute positively to Aurora by working on cross-functional projects as time permits.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our self-driving technology, understanding daily software and operational changes.
Work towards quantitative and qualitative goals impacting Vehicle Operations and Aurora.
Interact with the public as an ambassador for Aurora.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience driving commercially.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.
Interstate Class-A Commercial Driver's License.
Clean driving record with 0 violation points.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize and make strategic decisions proactively.
Ability to travel as needed.
Available to work night shifts (second and/or third shift).
Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
Ability to work regular overtime and some weekends.
80% of shift time spent in vehicle (vehicle as office).
Must pass pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
Is at least 21 years of age.
Must pass DOT physical.
Meet all DOT qualifications.

Desired Qualifications

Truck technician experience.
Inquisitive attitude, interested in problem-solving and puzzle-solving.
Experience in operations, technology, customer service, or automotive field.
Experience working in a collaborative environment - team player.
Proficient in G-Suite.
Command line interface experience.
Interest and aptitude for technology tools - apps, gaming, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
