    Job Description: Automation Technician

    As an Automation Technician, you'll be at the forefront of responding to maintenance challenges within our plant. Your role involves troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving issues across a range of equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated production systems, all geared towards achieving our operational objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Electrical Tasks: You'll tackle major and minor electrical repairs, such as 480V 3-phase motors, motor starter circuits, VFD drives, sensors, switches, and more. Troubleshooting AC/DC drives, PLCs, and motor control circuits will be part of your routine.
    • Mechanical Duties: Maintaining, repairing, and adjusting machinery such as motors, pumps, belts, and chains will be in your domain. You'll also need to read mechanical prints and technical data during installations and repairs.
    • Additional Responsibilities: You'll need to be on-call when required, assist in training other employees, use safety equipment, and provide support to the maintenance and production teams.

    Requirements:

    • Experience: A minimum of 5 years as an automation technician, preferably in the plastics or Injection Molding industry.
    • Technical Skills: Strong abilities in mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming within a manufacturing/production environment.
    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred.
    • Physical Requirements: You should be comfortable working in confined spaces and on ladders/platforms.
    • TroubleshootingSkills : Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, along with familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and related components.

    • Electronic: Familiarity with PLCs like Allen Bradley and GE-Fanuc, understanding of ladder logic, program sequencing, and troubleshooting.
    • Mechanical: Experience with power transmission systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyors.
    • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of PC operations, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
