Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Grants & Evaluation Manager implements a comprehensive institutional fundraising plan that aligns with Women's Advocates' strategic plan.
This position is responsible for all aspects of Women's Advocates' government and institutional giving fundraising, including identifying, writing, and submitting grant proposals to institutional and government partners, managing relationship with contract grant writers, maintaining a shareable grants calendar in collaboration with the Development Coordinator and preparing and submitting timely data-centered reports to funders in collaboration with Program Directors.
To ensure timely and accurate data reporting to funders, this position is also responsible for organization-wide ClientTrack database administration.This position is full-time, hybrid and the pay range is $75,000 - $80,000 per year.(As a part of the application process, please submit a cover letter)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Grant writing and Development (75%) 1.
Prepares and submits proposals and reports in accordance with RFPs and requirements of public and private funding sources.2.Develops narrative proposals based on information from program staff, information from previous proposals, input from the Survivor Advisory Council, and data from publications and research.3.
Communicates with the Development and Communications team, the Director of Finance, and the Executive Director about new grant opportunities, grant renewals, and status of existing grant proposals.4.
Collaborates with Programs staff to complete progress reports and work plan updates or changes.5. Maintains a list of current funding sources and contact information of grant administrators and keeps in regular contact.6. Attends monthly meetings of the Development, Communications, and Outreach teams to share status updates.7. Attends meetings of the Development Committee of the Women's Advocates' Board of Directors.8.Attends monthly meetings of the Survivor Advisory Council to seek feedback on programming and potential funding opportunities, ensuring that survivor voices remain integral to the grant writing process.9.
Manages writing, design, and publication of annual report each year in collaboration with Communications Coordinator.10. Completes other writing projects as assigned.ClientTrack Database Administration (25%) 1.
Ensures coordination between Women's Advocates and database partner MACC to find ways to improve the technical services provided by our ClientTrack database.2.
Develops, reviews, and maintains procedures related to database usage, and provides training to other Women's Advocates' staff to follow those procedures when using ClientTrack.3.
Finds efficiencies and eliminates redundancies in ClientTrack's internal systems.4.Oversees correct extraction and analysis of data from databases for reporting, applying contextual knowledge and research to ensure correct interpretation of program outcomes.5.
Makes meaning from quantitative and qualitative data through writing and data visualization, providing a clear picture of program outcomes for Women's Advocates' staff, board, and funders.
RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES1. Three years of experience in grant writing and/or database administration in the field of domestic and/or sexual violence.2.Associate or Bachelor's degree in gender studies, human services, English, social work, communications, education, technical writing, public health, or a related field is preferred, but not required.3.
Familiarity with domestic violence and the cycle of abuse.4. Deep understanding of Women's Advocates' mission, vision, and program offerings.5. Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, organizational, writing, and technology skills.6. Experience working in a community-based, diverse organization.7. Ability to adjust quickly to changing needs and priorities.8. Ability to handle multiple assignments, establish priorities, and be self-directed.9. Available for occasional weekend and evening events.10. Ability to work effectively across differences.11. Demonstrated experience with and/or commitment to intercultural development and anti-racism work in the workplace.12. If driving for WA, a valid driver's license is required.13. Criminal background check is required for this position.
