Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in portfolio project management within the aerospace and defense industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise along with a proven track record of successfully managing software projects within this specialized domain.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of software solutions for portfolio project management in the aerospace and defense sector.
• Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish technical objectives.
• Design and architect scalable and robust software systems to support portfolio management activities, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
• Develop custom tools and applications to streamline project workflows and enhance decision-making processes.
• Utilize industry-standard project management methodologies and tools to effectively plan, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success and compliance with industry regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support to foster skill development and project execution excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on portfolio project management in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Dot Net, MSSQL, ASP.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Agile, ADO).
• Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving project outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
