    Responsibilities:

    The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will: Organize and coordinate the Physician services and the services provided by other professionals as they relate to patient care and will oversee the quality of radiology, pharmacy, and lab services Participate in administrative decision making and recommends and approves relevant policies and procedures and will be responsible for communicating issues and concerns to system clinical leadership when warranted Establish and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to assure the provision of adequate, comprehensive services and will also monitor, evaluate, and improve performance of medical services through performance improvement program Collaborate with System Physician Leadership on new programs and their integration into the post-acute care service line Provide direct oversight of utilization management activities including Medicaid, Medicare and managed care appeals, medical necessity under various admission and continued stay criteria Coordinate primary, sub-specialty and behavioral health provider services and medical care in the facility Coordinate the review process prior to granting or renewing professional privileges or association Guide providers and other health care professionals to provide person-centered care that meets relevant clinical standards; Is involved in designing and implementing training programs relevant to patient-centered care Oversee the Infection control program ensuring that rules and polices are followed and implemented at the highest standard Lead quality assurance and performance improvement projects Help the facility educate and train its staff in areas that are relevant to providing high quality patient care Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 5+ years of Clinical Leadership experience Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York Board Certification Previous experience in a Long Term Care role/setting Proficiency in the knowledge of Regulatory Compliance Your privacy is important to us.
