Director of Human Resources - Houston, United States - Compassion International
Description
Responsibilities:
This director leads the Asia region's Human Resources function to design, implement and advise on human resource programs and policies, including performance management, discipline, compensation, benefits, equal opportunity and employee relations.
He or she collaborates with regional senior leaders and influences decisions based on Compassion's cultural behaviors and global and regional goals and priorities.
This person will provide direction through subordinate managers and staff in six countries regarding Compassion's human resource function and objectives.
This advising responsibility includes hiring, discipline, and termination, as well as coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and talent planning.Requirements:
Culture:
Accountable for supporting, upholding, and engaging in Compassion's core "Cultural Behaviors" in all internal and external communication and relationships.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Experience:
10 years experience leading teams with at least five years leading Human Resources teams.
Language:
Must be fluent in English.
*Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above
Working Environment:
Remote Home Office or National Office.
Must be available for very early or late weekly meetings.
Travel
Requirements:
May be required to travel up to 25% of normal schedule, and up to 50% in the first 90 days.
