- Responsible for planning and organizing an engineering project and the application of complex engineering skills requiring advanced knowledge.
- Makes independent decisions which are not regularly subject to technical review.
- Will use the knowledge of renewables (wind, PV) technology in building a BESS Plant Simulator.
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using well defined engineering procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from a college or university accredited
- by ABET, or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years electrical engineering experience in power generation plant.
- Professional Engineering certification strongly preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of power plant design and power system software.
- Experienced with various Microsoft software programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with power system software analysis: PSS/E, PSLF PSCAD, ETAP, etc. is a plus.
- Tool: Emerson, python is a plus. Any brand is PLC is fine like Allen Bradley.
- SCADA platform, Modbus, Ignition, OPC
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and management skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others and be a good team player

Description
We are searching for an Electrical Engineer for a 1 yr. contract assignment. The person would take the lead in the initial development of a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the BESS Plant Control (Battery Energy Storage System). This test aims to ensure that the BESS Plant Control fully meets all requirements without any defects. Additionally, the person will also be responsible for either finding or building a BESS Plant Simulator, which will aid in the testing process.
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Juno Beach, Florida
