- Responsible for quality assurance for assigned products
- Work with internal stakeholders on quality investigations and improvement opportunities.
- Team member for quality improvement projects to increase customer satisfaction and reduce cost
- Evaluate product and process changes for impact on quality
- Participate in efforts to improve product quality and process capability
- Organize studies and direct laboratory activities of assigned technicians
- Ensure compliance to internal SOPs and external regulations
- Evaluate customer complaints and trends to determine necessary actions/improvements
- Assess and validate test methods and perform cross-over studies.
- Help to foster a quality environment & mindset throughout the business
- The applicant will work and interact with other functions (product development, manufacturing, regulatory, technical service, and business)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent attention to detail, and be process and system oriented.
- Use analytical tools such as statistical process controls, trending and graph to evaluate process capability and drive improvement
- Other duties as may be assigned by management
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 5-7 years' experience in a Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Science environment specifically within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
- OR Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- The employee must rarely lift up to 20 pounds.
- Mobility aspects include frequently sit and or be sedentary/stationary, occasionally bend/twist, stand and walk and rarely push/pull, crawl/kneel or climb.
- Hand movement and visual acuity include occasionally repetitive motion, finger dexterity, hand eye coordination and rarely grasping/holding and color distinction.

Neogen is looking to hire a Quality Manager that will be highly involved in helping transition manufacturing lines from Brookings, SD to Lansing, MI in Fall of 2024. They will use analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess problems, identify solutions and actively participate with teams to continually improve processes to insure effective, efficient compliance with ISO, regulatory body and customer expectations specific to Neogen's Food Safety Division.
