    The Position

    Responsible for image digitization and optimization for anatomic pathology and collaborate with the clinical team in the digitization of specimens.

    Uses highly specialized imagery equipment and software to achieve the highest quality of clinical specimen digitization and to generate imaging for diagnostic purposes.

    Responsibilities
    Coordinate with the clinical team to receive, digitize, and hand off all digitized materials.
    Review, modify and optimize the scan profile for each slide.
    Assess image quality with clinical team to guarantee digitized images are usable.
    Manipulate images to achieve the highest quality using the appropriate tools.
    Ensure all digitizing equipment is used properly.
    Decide which images to publish.
    Properly store images in an organized directory system.
    Send and ensure digitized material is received by our external resources.
    Ensure all assignments are completed by the established deadlines.
    Assist in the laboratory's operation as required.
    Any other related responsibility not previously described.

    Requirements and Skills
    High School Diploma or Associates degree desired or equivalent work experience.
    Experience in a health-related industry.
    General computer skills and ability to learn and master new software programs and work with large databases.
    Experience with digital technology and photo editing software.
    Time-management and creative mind skills
    Available to work nights and weekends as needed.


    Working Conditions/ Physical Activity:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.

    The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
