    Job Title: Network Technician

    Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, CA

    Duration: 1 year

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Cabling and configuring network and console link to firewalls, switches and routers.
    • Installing, configuring and maintaining ethernet switches, PDU's and other rack infrastructure in lab.
    • Calculating power and cooling requirements for new equipment installations.
    • Assisting users with building and provisioning virtual machine guests in Windows, Linux, etc.
    • Providing end-user support for infrastructure troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution.
    • Monitoring the laboratory network and systems to ensure reliable operation.
    • Updating and patching network and infrastructure devices.
    • Implementing tools to prevent, detect; and eliminate virus, malware and active hacking threats.
    • Maintaining lab firewall policies to allow network testing without compromising security.
    • Troubleshoot and fixing lab Infrastructure/DUT/switches/servers etc....
    Required Skills and Competencies:
    • Knowledge of common network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP,
    • Dynamic routing protocols, SSH/SCP/SFTP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, CIFS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, etc.
    • Experience with IPv4 and IPv6 networking.
    • Experience managing CENTOS, Debian, or other Linux distributions.
    • Windows, MacOS, and VMware admin experience is a plus.
    Education:
    • 3+ Years' experience working in a technical/troubleshooting/support role in a lab environment.
