    Job Summary:
    The Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts.

    The Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve the hotel's revenue and market share goals for one or more properties.

    The focus of sales may vary based on the respective property the associate is assigned to (i.e. Leisure Business Travel Group SMERF).

    Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.


    Responsibilities:

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    High School diploma or equivalent required; previous Hotel Sales experience preferred.

    Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.


    Must possess developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate convince sell and influence other managerial personnel hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.

    Experience with professional selling skills desired: opening probing supporting closing

    Must be proficient in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products

    Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks; strong organization and presentation skills


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Develop, update, and achieve goals set on a timely basis.

    Meet company standards of 24 hours on response times to all lead sources including all wedding related booking

    events, wedding room blocks, and other events as assigned by the Director of Sales.

    Works with clients to coordinate bookings, creates banquet event orders and diagrams when necessary, and

    communicates event information to all operation teams.

    Is present for all meetings with current and potential clients, including scheduled meetings and walk-in tours.

    Presents all contracts, BEOs, and Booking Checks to be approved by DOS before sent to client.

    Collects final guest count seven days prior to event start date with signature from client.

    Collects final payment, excluding consumption items, seven days prior to event start date with signature from

    client.

    Shares daily office duties, banquet event order distribution and daily change log.

    Update all information in Amadeus to present date. (Account status, deposits, payments, proposals sent, etc.)

    Completes all other items as assigned by your Director of Sales on a timely basis.

    Maintains an honest working relationship with all coworkers and clients.

    Responsible for ensuring guest services has all accommodations arranged prior to group arrival.

    Reviews all catering resumes for valet orders and amenity requests.

    Accomplish 37 revenue generating activities each week (adjust breakdown as necessary):

    o Outside sales calls – 15

    o Internet prospecting (client connected)– 20

    o Site tours – 2

    Performs weekly BEO meetings with Managers and Banquet staff.

    Participates in the weekly management meeting.

    Meet/Exceed annual budget in top line rooms revenue.

    Meet/Exceed annual budget in catering/banquets revenue. (if applicable)

    Achieve budgeted group rooms revenue and profit.

    Achieve a minimum score/average of 85% for sales shop call with the stretch-goal of 90%.

    Achieve within a 3% +/- margin for group forecasting accuracy.

    Meet/Exceed monthly/quarterly booking and consumption goals.

    Maintains accurate filing system for all archived catering files.

    Engage, and execute with all Aimbridge company initiatives and Sales & Marketing programs
