We are seeking a senior Testing Automation Lead to define and drive the automation strategy across enterprise insurance applications.
This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise in automation frameworks, and the ability to manage distributed teams while remaining hands-on.
The ideal candidate will architect scalable automation solutions, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with Agile and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
Define automation roadmap and strategy aligned with program objectives within the insurance portfolio.
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and integration testing.
Lead automation teams, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.
Oversee automation planning, estimation, prioritization, and reporting across Agile delivery cycles.
Collaborate closely with developers, solution architects, business analysts, and manual QA teams.
Establish automation standards, templates, reusable libraries, version control practices, and continuous improvement models.
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation.
Drive optimization of test coverage, maintainability, and reusability across multiple insurance applications.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly.
Mentor automation engineers and develop next-level automation leads.
Requirement/Must Have:
Extensive experience in Quality Engineering with strong automation leadership background.
Expertise in Selenium with Java or Python and frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
Strong hands-on experience in API test automation using RestAssured or similar tools.
Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and pipeline configuration.
Ability to architect automation frameworks using Page Object Model, data-driven, hybrid, and service-level automation patterns.
Strong understanding of insurance domain processes including policy, claims, billing, and underwriting systems.
Proven experience leading geographically distributed automation teams.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, DevOps, and modern delivery practices.
Experience:
Senior-level experience in automation leadership roles.
Experience working in enterprise insurance or financial services environments.
Experience managing multi-vendor delivery models.
Should Have:
Mobile automation experience using Appium.
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
Exposure to cloud technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture.
Understanding of performance engineering concepts and collaboration with performance teams.
Skills:
Automation framework architecture and design.
Web, mobile, and API test automation.
CI/CD pipeline integration.
Insurance domain knowledge.
Leadership and stakeholder management.
Strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution.
Qualification And Education:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience working with large financial services or insurance clients preferred.
