    Description


    Our client, a precision machine shop located in Sterling Heights, is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join their team on 1st shift.

    This family-oriented shop offers a consistent schedule of 48 hours per week, no OT on the weekends, fair wages, company performance-based bonus, great health insurance and more This is a DIRECT HIRE position

    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and responsibilities:

    • Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, preferably with HAAS machine experience.
    • Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
    • Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
    • Familiarity with precision measurement instruments and quality control procedures.
    • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Experience Required:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
    • Experience programming HAAS controls using G&M codes and CAM software (Fusion360, Mastercam).
    • Capable of working with 2-3 machines at a time.
    • Highly prefer experience working in a precision machine shop.
    • Completion of a vocational or technical training program in CNC machining or related field (preferred)
