    Position Purpose :
    The candidate will join the Genuine Parts Company (GPC) Enterprise Security Engineering Team in support of global security operations.

    As a part of the GPC EST the employee will partner with various teams throughout GPC to help develop security solutions that fit business needs.

    Research and develop engineering solutions to improve the security posture of GPC.
    Coordinate with security personnel to evaluate security needs and goals and drive forward solutions to these needs and goals.
    Improve implementations of existing security tools to include: a. Firewall/IPS
    b. SIEM
    c. EDR
    d. Web Security Tools

    Develop training and processes for GPC EST to use with regards to new security tools / initiatives.
    Experience with automation
    Participate in technical training sessions to learn and share knowledge with team and coworkers.
    Support global security actions to include: a. Engineering / Architecture
    b. Incident Response
    c. Operations
    d. Risk Assessments

    Other duties as assigned


    Location:
    GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.
    We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.

    Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
    Bachelor's degree in a computer science, related field, or equivalent.
    2 years of information technology experience and at least one additional year of information security experience.
    Entry level cyber security certification (CompTIA Sec+; SSCP, etc...)

    Preferred certifications:
    CySA+, CEH, OSCP, or other advanced security certification
    Experience with evaluating company needs and matching cyber security goals to company business goals.
    Experience supporting a global environment.
    Experience writing and developing security policies and standards.
    Knowledge of compliance standards / regulations (CIS, NIST, OWASP, etc...)
    Background in implementing host / network / cloud / or application security controls
    Coding or scripting experience
