    Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join their existing Electrophysiology team at Atrium Health-Cabarrus.

    Essential Functions

    • Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
    • Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plan of care.
    • Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
    • Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
    • Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
    • Determines treatment plan for patient.
    • Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.
    • Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
    • Attends, participates, and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.

    Position Highlights

    • Inpatient and outpatient coverage (50/50 split)
    • Schedule includes four rotating 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday
    • Rotating Saturday morning call
    • Some holiday coverage for general cardiology service
    • Collaborates with 6 Electrophysiologists

    Qualified candidates should have:

    • Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.
      • Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required
      • Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification required
    • Willingness to work in both an inpatient and outpatient setting on a rotating four, 10-hour shift schedule with rotating weekend coverage.
    • 1+ year of cardiology or ICU experience strongly preferred
