- Assisting with development of technical proposals and development of a Statement of Work and customer specifications prior to contract award.
- Developing Project Plans for their assigned project(s)
- Ensuring that the company processes are followed in the execution of their project(s)
- Works with the Export Controls and Compliance point of contact (POC) to ensure that all controls and compliance considerations are addressed prior to the kickoff of the project.
- Developing and maintaining of project schedules.
- Meeting company goals for schedule, budget, and technical performance.
- Organizing and managing diverse teams to ensure success in their project(s).
- Identifying and managing projects risks, including the development of a risk management plan and management of this plan throughout the life of the project.
- Ensures that the customer needs and expectations for their respective project are met.
- Reporting status to Program Management and other upper management.
- Monitoring and managing technical scope.
- Control of product documentation.
- Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Engineering - Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Project Engineering, or Systems Engineering is required. Exceptions to this requirement are possible if offset by experience in an engineering development environment.
- Must be a well-organized individual and self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
- Individual must possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Minimum five (5) yrs. experience in design and development as an engineer and or project manager, preferably within the aviation industry.

As Universal Avionics' Technical Project Manager (TPM) you are critical in leading the engineering team(s) to successfully meet UA's company goals and satisfy customer requirements in avionics. You are responsible for the technical management and leadership of a project from initiation to closure. This includes managing customer and Internal Research & Development (IR&D) projects. The TPM is responsible for ensuring their project(s) is executed on time, within their allocated budget, and meets all of the customer and regulatory requirements. The TPM is responsible for working closely and supporting their respective Program Manager (PM) for their assigned project.
