    St. Joseph's Manor

    Registered Nurse (RN) or License Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Location: 215 Thatcher, Brockton, MA 02302

    Shifts: Per Diem - Days or Nights

    St Joseph's Manor is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a variety of Per Diem shifts. You choose your own schedule

    Requirements:
    • Degree from accredited school of nursing

    • Active RN/LPN license in state of Massachusetts

    • CPR certification

    • 1 year experience



    Job Summary:

    Responsibilities:
    • Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the residents total regime of care is followed.

    • Perform Administrative duties as needed such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting etc.

    • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis throughout the unit.

    • Assist with discharge planning as needed.

    • Review and evaluate your unit on a regular basis and make recommendations to the Client.

    • Make oral reports and suggestions to the Client, as necessary concerning the operation of the nursing unit.

    • Implement and oversee resident care plans.

    • Assist with the admission process

    • Assure that all medical records are up to date and in compliance.

    • Make daily resident visits on your unit

    • Review charts for completeness periodically.

    • Monitor timeliness of physician visits.

    • Monitor medications passes on your unit.

    • Provide direct nursing care as needed and monitor ill residents

    • Keep Client aware of resident conditions.

    • Consult with physicians

    • Inform families of change in resident's conditions.

    • Monitor for appropriate storage and control of medications on your unit.

    • Encourage resident participation in care planning.

    • Inform all staff of resident plans of care.

    • Review nurses note for implementation of the plan of care.

    • Inform staff of proper infection control procedures.

    • Investigate incidents and accidents and File incident reports

    • Notify Client of medication discrepancies.

    • Monitor medications for automatic stop orders

    • Delegate assignments to the CNA staff

    • Give and receive reports at the beginning and end of the shift.

    • Perform treatments for residents and develop plans of care for residents.

    • Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties

    • Participate in all mandatory safety in services
