    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a position in our Commercial Litigation section. In this position, you will be providing complex litigation and trial support for the section's cases and attorneys. The work is fast-paced and deadline-driven. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 am6:30 pm, with one hour for lunch. Availability for weekends and extra hours during trial times is required.

    DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:


    • Factual research and analysis of law sources


    • Draft routine legal documents for review and use by the section's attorneys.


    • Review, analyze and interpret data, responses and records produced by opposing counsel.


    • Preparing and e-filing pleadings and discovery documents
    • Confirming critical court dates and deadlines


    • Daily case detail management


    • Extensive client and co-counsel contact


    • Assisting the section's attorneys with trial preparation and management


    • Any other tasks as assigned

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will have excellent technology aptitude and skills, proficiency with MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; will be attentive to detail, organized, dependable and highly motivated; possess demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and to work as part of a team, as well as independently.


    • College degree and previous litigation paralegal experience required


    • Schedule flexibility and availability for weekends and extra hours during trial times


    • Proven ability to process and analyze the training and apply the knowledge to future assignments and projects


    • Superior attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills Proven ability to:


    • withstand high-pressure, fast-paced work environment


    • multitask, adhere to time constraints and meet multiple deadlines


    • work independently; analyze and apply provided concepts, instructions and procedures


    • Excellent oral & written communication skills;


    • Technology aptitude and proficiency


    • Team player, self-starter and motivated
