      Surgical Technician- PRN

      Job Duties: Provides a variety of nutritional, clinical support, and transportation services and activities to promote patient comfort and satisfaction. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. In addition, under the direction of RN and in cooperation with all the members of the patient care team, performs a wide range of duties including clerical, materials management, environmental, and interdepartmental/intradepartmental communication to fully support the peri-operative unit. Utilizes information systems, maintains inventory supply, performs light housekeeping, as well as assisting nursing and medical personnel in delegated direct and indirect patient care activities. Contributes to a positive work environment as an active team member with a commitment to learning and skill development. The JHSCS Preop PACU Associate will primarily work in the Prep and PACU area and occasionally flex to other units to meet the daily operational needs of the JHSCS.

      Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a Surgical Technician program or successfully completed an Accelerated Alternative Delivery Surgical Technology (AAD-ST) certificate program.

      Licensure/Certification: Surgical Technician certification preferred. A BLS CPR card is required.

      Experience: 3 years of experience
