    This position is for an Evendale-based electrical system engineer.

    You will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements that pertain to supplier-designed electrical hardware, starting from initial concept through design, development, and validation and culminating in a product vision.

    Examples of this hardware include controllers, sensors (pressure, temperature, speed, etc), and motors.

    The position requires you to execute system and component analyses, coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team, integrate the system with the engine and the airframe, and validate the design through testing.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Work within a multi-disciplinary team which is both domestic and global, and both GE-badged and non-GE badged

    Manage hardware through the design process, from initial concept through design, development, and validation

    Ensure the hardware and system meet the engine and aircraft needs by leveraging a cross-functional team of design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, and program leadership

    Steer supplier efforts, including both technical design and programmatic aspects

    Actively participate in GE-internal and supplier design reviews

    Coordinate with senior technical leadership on critical component design parameters

    Complete necessary analyses and evaluations of proposed designs by adhering to business standards and design guidelines

    Communicate and present analyses and decisions to technical and program leadership

    Utilize lean tools to efficiently and effectively execute on concurrent projects

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

    Flexible, friendly, and collaborative approach to working within hybrid on- and off-site teams

    Highly-motivated self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aerospace technology

    Ability to work within cross-functional teams to ensure the task is completed on time
