Location: Quitman County High School, Georgetown, Georgia

Job Description:

Quitman County High School is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as the Head Girls Basketball Coach. We are looking for someone who is passionate about basketball, dedicated to fostering the growth and development of student-athletes, and committed to building a winning program both on and off the court.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the girls' basketball program, including planning and conducting practices, developing game strategies, and overseeing player development.
• Inspire and motivate student-athletes to reach their full potential academically, athletically, and personally.
• Foster a positive team culture built on integrity, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
• Collaborate with school administrators, athletic staff, and parents to support the success of the basketball program and its players.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes, promoting character development and leadership skills.
• Willingness to coach a second sport based on the needs of the athletic department.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level
• Knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and skill development techniques
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with student-athletes, parents, and colleagues
• Commitment to upholding the values and mission of Quitman County High School
