    Were seeking a future team member for the role of Solutions Architect to join our team. This role can be based out of our NYC, NY, Lake Mary, FL, or Pittsburgh, PA offices Hybrid.

    In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:

    • Plans, evaluates, recommends, and designs end-to-end architectural solutions to meet enterprise standards, business needs and technology strategy.
    • Lead the planning, definition, high-level design, and budget development of an architectural solution for a specific Product / Platform; develop proof-of-concepts and explore alternatives to help pods to make architectural decisions.
    • Provide guidance to technology teams and business partners understanding the architectural options and technology choices that account for total cost of ownership, risk and leverage strategic enterprise assets.
    • Ensure projects are compliant with technology domain architecture as defined by the Architecture Lead
    • Coordinate with Product / Platform Manager to create reusable and scalable architectural components within the technical roadmap.
    • Aggregate and analyse architecture related operational reports, KPIs and KRIs for the Product / Platform
    • Foresee architectural issues / gaps and identifies emerging industry trends (i.e. future focused)
    • Synchronize architectural solution among pods and resolve differences and dependencies; manage interdependencies with architectural solutions of Products / Platforms

    To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

    • Seasoned developer or technical lead with expert knowledge of architecture frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
    • 8-12 years of experience in technology and architecture roles required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
    • Good communication skills and experience of working closely with senior management teams.
    • Experience in agile development preferred.
    • A passion for continuous improvement and learning
    • Experience working on projects that span across multiple business units or products.
    • Ability to develop working proof of concepts to help communicate a concept.
    • Solution-oriented enabler mindset
    • Eagerness to roll up the sleeves in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same

    Advantageous

    • Experience with Java. .NET, Big Data and related skills
    • Experience of Containerized Architectures
    • Knowledge of Architecture Methodologies/Frameworks
    • Experience in the securities or financial services industry

    BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $120,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

    This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
