Duties

WHAT IS THE WAGE AND INVESTMENT (W&I) DIVISION?
A description of the business units can be found at:

Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Wage and Investment Service Centers, Submission Processing;

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

Ensures that the database is in balance at all times and that the integrity of the system is maintained.

Generates reports in the appropriate format and distributes according to scheduled time frames.

Performs research to make corrections to the database to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of reports.

Performs internal balancing operations of the system.

Releases all daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports as prescribed by IRM guidelines.

Monitors daily activities by analyzing the daily posting summary for error messages or corrections to ensure all transactions have been properly posted.

Monitors trends in reports and recommends training needs or identifies potential system problems.

Makes corrections to the database according to the time schedules established by management and IRS guidelines.
