- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for students based on their unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students to improve their speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student evaluations, progress, and treatment plans.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to discuss student goals and progress.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan state license or eligible for licensure as an SLP.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and fellow professionals.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records.
