    Job Description

    The Workforce Management Consultant role seeks to proactively improve how AbbVie Operations and Enterprise Solutions (OES) sources and develops talent for today and future.

    The successful candidate must have high level customer collaboration and leadership skills to deliver strategic initiatives that will ultimately strengthen the OES talent pipeline.

    The Workforce Management Consultant works directly with Business Technology Solutions (BTS) partners and leaders to understand resource needs, skills, technologies, drivers, and strategy; identifies and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for OES talent development and skills improvement.


    Key Responsibilities Include:


    Works directly with BTS and Business Technology Organization (BTO) units to understand specific business processes and business drivers and business strategy across multiple business units; identifies and communicates resulting technology skills needs and improvements that can be enabled via training and upskilling.

    Investigates and understands capabilities of existing technologies already in use across OES and similar, interconnected business areas in AbbVie and investigates skills and talent needs applied to the business area; identifies programs that strengthen the technical acumen of OES employees by identifying skills gaps and creating solutions to reinforce.

    Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
    Proactively partner with Business Human Resources to strengthen the delivery of performance management through enhanced training and communications.
    Responsible for cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with external partners to grow key talent pipeline partnerships.
    Develop and maintain workforce planning and management roadmap initiatives that enhance skills and talent pipeline of the OES organization.
    Participates in the development of workforce strategy across OES. Identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies. Ensures compliance between business strategies and technology directions.
    Lead key initiatives as required, providing consultation, analyses, data interpretation, and overall initiative management.

    Establish methods and key performance metrics to evaluate the overall effectiveness of OES talent development and implement improvements as appropriate.

    Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other BTOs to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Manages relationships & deliverables between clients involved and BTOs to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within BTS on behalf of customers; coordinates portfolio of solutions and identifies interdependencies.
    Create and maintain dashboards utilizing multiple sources of human resource and finance data and tools. Agree and establish benchmarks with leadership on key metrics.
    Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial and quality aspects. Accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and subordinates.
    Performs as subject matter advisor to less experienced team members. May participate in teaching, mentoring and training members of work team.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:


    Bachelor's Degree with 7 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience; Master's Degree with 6 years' experience; PhD with 2 years' experience.

    Determines and develops approach and solutions to problems.
    Organization development, change management, or performance improvement experience.

    Excellent communication and organization skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and partners.

    Experience working with IT leadership.
    Strong Project Management skillset and the ability to adjust quickly to competing priorities.
    Track record of driving project deliverables to successful conclusion.
    Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects by preparing and tracking formal project plans.

    Strong analytical skills; demonstrated experience in data analysis - creating and analyzing business information, creating and leveraging dashboards and tracking key business metrics.

    Proficiency with MS Office suite of products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.)

    Preferred Skills:
    Prior consulting experience highly preferred.
    In-depth knowledge of workforce management tools, processes, and best practices
    Proven ability in data analysis and interpretation, statistical application, and workforce modeling.
    Experience with human capital analytics.

    The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this role at the timeof this posting based on the job grade for this position.

    Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, andwemay ultimatelypay more or less than the posted range.

    This range may be modified in thefuture.
