    Cornerstone Staffing Solution is looking for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic with at least three years of experience. This is a full-time position paying $25/hr.

    PRIMARY SUMMARY:

    The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of mechanical maintenance and construction activities, including repair and maintenance of manufacturing machines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Performs work based on issued Work Orders, work may include; scheduled preventive maintenance, unscheduled or unforeseen work (machine breakdowns), and seeks Supervisor or Lead guidance as necessary to ensure safety at all times.

    Examines equipment and machinery, troubleshoots as necessary, and makes recommendations to the Supervisor or Lead concerning corrective repairs.

    Takes a proactive role in identifying malfunctions or repairs to ensure optimal safety and efficiency.

    Always performs work with the utmost safety in mind; wears appropriate PPE for the job and follows all safety rules, especially those involving lock out/tag out, powered industrial vehicles, confined spaces, and electrical equipment.

    Performs arc welding, gas welding, cutting, and brazing.

    Uses a variety of tools to perform duties including but not limited to; voltage tester, ammeter, megger, hand tools, and power tools safely and proficiently.

    Assists in all areas of new construction and remodeling of the facility.

    Operates powered industrial vehicles to move parts and machines.

    Reports any safety violation, machining equipment misusage, and/or improperly performed work to a supervisor or lead.

    Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organizing part pans, and performing other housekeeping duties.
