Job Description and Duties:
Patton State Hospital Human Resources is accepting applications for at least one Permanent, Full-Time Stationary Engineer. This vacancy exists in the Facility Operations Department and is under the direction of the Chief Engineer II. Applicants must possess knowledge of engineering principles, materials, tools, and equipment used in the trade, along with understanding CalOSHA safety orders and California Building Standards Codes. Additional requirements include good communication skills, ability to work well with others, and maintain positive work relationships. A practical test may be administered during the hiring interview. Drug screening is mandatory prior to hiring.
Working Conditions:
Patton State Hospital is a forensic psychiatric hospital established in 1890. It provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
Minimum Requirements:
