    Within Finance, AIG's Corporate Development team is responsible for the evaluation and execution of strategic transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and minority investments.

    About the role
    The Corporate Development team is seeking a Senior Analyst to support the evaluation and execution of strategic transactions.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to present complex information in a manner that supports executive decision-making.

    Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational and communications skills and the ability to deliver a high-quality work product in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities
    Senior Analysts play an integral role on the Corporate Development team and while day-to-day responsibilities are diverse, core responsibilities include the following:

    • M&A Process Management:
    Develop workplans with detailed workstream-level status updates, maintain working group lists, draft meeting agendas and take meeting notes

    • Due Diligence:
    Maintain and update due diligence request lists and manage virtual data rooms. Liaise with subject matter experts from across AIG's business units and functional areas (e.g., legal, tax, finance, etc.)

    • Financial Modeling & Valuation:
    Construct financial models and develop valuation and return analyses in support of transactions

    • Memorandums & Presentations:
    Prepare memorandums, presentations and comprehensive financial analyses for AIG's senior management, Board of Directors and other key stakeholders

    • Adhoc Requests:
    Perform ad hoc qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of other strategic initiatives

    • Peer Benchmarking:
    Monitor financial and operational performance of insurance peers

    • Trend Identification:
    Develop and maintain a deep understanding of emerging trends and industry dynamics
    What we're looking for

    • Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and ability to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities
    • 1 years of corporate development, management consulting, investor relations, investment banking, or related finance experience
    • Knowledge of basic financial and accounting concepts
    • Strong analytical skills including both quantitative and qualitative techniques
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to draft high-quality presentation materials
    • Discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
    • A bachelor's degree is required, with a major in finance, economics or related field preferred
    • Prior M&A transaction and/or Property & Casualty insurance experience a plus, but not required
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with FactSet, S&P Capital IQ and/or Bloomberg a plus
    • The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
