    PECO Pallet, Inc. is an industry leader in providing four-way block pallet pooling services in North America.

    With a diverse portfolio of manufacturers and distributors, PECO currently services most US retailers, wholesalers, national clubs, and food services.

    The PECO business model is to issue (ship), collect, repair, and reissue pallets from a robust service network throughout North America.


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Supply Chain Summer Intern role significantly supports two programs within PECO's Supply Chain Planning function.

    The SC area has three key initiatives/programs that these roles will be asked to support:

    Reverse Logistics Planning Processes & Systems Upgrade, Supply Chain Analytics Processes & Systems Upgrade, and A Market Research initiative on specific Product Categories.

    These three specific programs are among PECO Supply Chain Teams 2024 priority programs. All initiatives are designed to further support the mission of increasing Strength, Speed, and Agility in PECO's Supply Chain.

    This role will assist in data gathering, data analysis, software testing, market research and generating documenting insights from those initiatives, project planning documentation, project execution monitoring, and various project management support tasks to ensure that these projects stay on time and on budget while also meeting their original business case goals, including Project ROI.

    Heavy verbal and written interaction with a wide range of individuals within the PECO Supply Chain, Finance, Service, and Sales functional areas are attributes of these roles.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Serves as owner and administrator of the project's SharePoint site Schedule working meetings for project team members and document outcomes and issues identified at the meetings.

    Performs Market Research on multiple product categories, manufacturers, and retailers.
    Works with other PECO departments and project team members to document key decisions, issues, and milestones of the projects.

    Data gathering, organizing, formatting, and exception management:

    Work with the offshore team in getting data files structured and formatted in ways that are needed for the test environment of the softwareWork with Irvington, NY, and Itasca, IL office team members in data cleansing and data analysisWork with Itasca-based team members to avoid data gathering, cleansing, and formatting to be a constraint on the achievement of the project timelineCreate training materials for the future state processes developedCreate visuals (using PPT and Visio) to assist in the documentation of the current state and proposed future state vision.

    Create visuals that would also be needed to support effective and efficient cross-functional discussions/ meetings. Create visuals that would keep PECO Executive Team members. These visuals would also be needed to support effective and efficient cross-functional discussions/ meetings.

    Work actively with PECO Service and Sales team members to gather additional descriptive information about the locations that are forecasted.

    Serve as a unit tester on new screens and new software/system configuration fields.

    It serves a vital role in this project, which is led by Peco's Itasca, IL office and includes team members from multiple areas within the US and PECO Venezuela.


    EXPERIENCE:
    At least 1 year of hands-on experience in the use of Microsoft 365 software products.

    (Excel proficiency is greatly preferred) Current major or interest in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or Operations area of businessCompletion of at least 1 year of post-secondary education.

    (2 years preferred)A 3.0 or greater GPA preferred.
