CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift
Location
South Carolina
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
3x12-Hour Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with Holiday Rotation. Every other weekend is required.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will possess significant cardiac experience and be comfortable with the demands and responsibilities of a night shift position.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU.
Monitor vital signs and manage complex cardiac conditions.
Administer medications and manage IV therapies as per established protocols.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist in procedures and provide post-operative care, including management of chest tubes, IABP, ECMO, and other equipment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of cardiac nursing experience required.
Current SC RN license or Compact license in hand prior to start.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
eICU and Trauma ICU experience preferred.
