As a Body Shop Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and efficient estimates for collision repairs, maintaining workflow in the body shop, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service.
JOB TITLE: Body Shop Estimator
REPORTS TO: Body Shop Manager
LOCATION: E Galbraith Rd Cincinnati, OH
A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of repairs needed.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using estimating software (e.g., CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex).
- Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, timelines, and costs.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters to ensure proper claim handling and approvals.
- Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry repair standards and insurance procedures.
- Document all repair estimates, supplements, and customer communications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Greet customers and handle incoming calls and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Schedule repair appointments and coordinate vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Prepare and process repair orders, estimates, invoices, and insurance documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repair progress, and parts orders.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and assist with claim processing.
- Track parts deliveries and update technicians on arrival times.
- Assist with payroll, timekeeping, and other internal administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office and customer waiting area.
- Support the Body Shop Manager with reporting, scheduling, and other duties as needed.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in auto body repair or estimating is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in auto body estimating or a related field.
- Proficiency in estimating software (CCC One, Mitchell, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and insurance procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
